Top Speed is proud to present a new option to today’s budget minded SVT and Zetec Ford Focus enthusiast that still packs all the quality and performance that you have come to expect from our products. This new turbo kit utilizes a smaller GT2871R Garrett turbocharger for those still looking for a quick spooling option for the street. The components are engineered to perform well on both a stock motor and a highly built one. Options are available for a kit capable of 550+whp.

The downpipe is intended to be used with the corresponding diameter Zetec flexpipe with 2 bolt flange available from companies such as TruBendz.

Top Speed's Ford Focus Makes 528whp!

Well we got some new dyno numbers from the Focus, and lets just say, the new GT35R really performed! We made a best of 528 whp and 399 wtq at 27 psi SAE CORRECTED. I know that there will be much more to come with this car, we just had to stop prematurely to try and make it out to a local race.

Top Speed Ford Focus Goes 11.4 @ 123mph

We had to run the car on 93 octane tonight due to the fact that we where unable to get some 110. Because of this Jared turned it down to 21psi on high boost.

Final and best run:

60: 1.744
1/8: 7.389 @ 96mph
1/4 11.462 @ 123mph

Temp was approx 40 degrees, the track was COLD. However the car seemed to run pretty good and overall we are extremely happy with the first time out. Jared was not launching the car on the slicks, he was just easing into it, which is pretty awesome considering his 60ft.

Top Speed Focus get's a little more power!

We decided to turn the boost up a little on a long term project here at Top Speed. You may recall the previous blog entry about Jared’s Focus back in June where I stated that the car made 274whp on a stock ZETEC engine, well lets just say that we just blew that number out of the water.

We have always wondered how much harder we should push this motor, and finally got to the point where we decided the heck with it and do what we do best, boost the heck out of it. Jared has been driving this car for more than a year on what some people would call a ‘timebomb,’ however anyone that has ever ridden with him would agree the car felt like it just wanted more.

The results speak for themselves:

18 & 19psi – 93 Octane

As you can see, we had a little issue with the clutch, we are not sure why it desided to start slipping, but we do know it is! The car made 340whp and 338 wtq at 19psi on what is a completely stock internal production ZETEC engine. This is for sure one of the highest horsepower, if not the highest, documented stock internal ZETEC engine.

Stock Zetec Focus? How does 325whp sound?

This is a completely stock zetec engine with our GT Street Turbo Kit.

Car was tuned using SCT software and 93 octane.

Ford Focus 'Street' ZETEC Turbo Manifold

Due to the demand for a more affordable ZETEC turbo manifold, Top Speed has released a new option for the ZETEC forced induction enthusiast.

The new manifold is very similar to our original design, which is now referred to as our Race manifold. The Top Speed Street turbo manifold is still made out of the same high quality materials and assembled with the same meticulous attention to detail that our customers desire and have come to expect from Top Speed. However, the design is simplified to allow for a more affordable price point which is now set at $599.

Our initial testing has produced good results, it produces less horsepower than our ‘Race’ manifold, but still outperforms most other options for the ZETEC. This new manifold even allows for the use of stock radiator fans with certain turbos. We are excited to be able to provide an entry level manifold, that preforms this well for the ZETEC Ford Focus.

This manifold has also already gone 13.8 @ 107mph in the 1/4mile on a STOCK ZETEC!

As with all of our manifolds, this includes a lifetime warranty against cracking!

As with both of our manifolds, SVT’s must use the regular ZETEC dipstick and tube to allow for clearance, which we have available for purchase. Also, minimal clearancing of aluminum oil windage tray required with certain turbo models and stock fans.
