2001 Ford SVT Lightning

We we have a new long term project at Top Speed, it is a 2001 Ford Lightning owned by one of our guys here in the shop. Right now we are unsure of where we are going with the build, but in the short term, we are planning on adding a set of long tubes and retuning it.
Right now the Lightning is a really nice daily driver, and the owner plans on keeping it one, but we are still planning on making some big horsepower out of this little truck.
In the next few weeks we should be adding some dyno numbers and some videos to the site, so be sure to stay tuned.

Ford Focus ‘Street’ ZETEC Turbo Manifold

Due to the demand for a more affordable ZETEC turbo manifold, Top Speed has released a new option for the ZETEC forced induction enthusiast.
The new manifold is very similar to our original design, which is now referred to as our Race manifold. The Top Speed Street turbo manifold is still made out of the same high quality materials and assembled with the same meticulous attention to detail that our customers desire and have come to expect from Top Speed. However, the design is simplified to allow for a more affordable price point which is now set at $599.

Our initial testing has produced good results, it produces less horsepower than our ‘Race’ manifold, but still outperforms most other options for the ZETEC. This new manifold even allows for the use of stock radiator fans with certain turbos. We are excited to be able to provide an entry level manifold, that preforms this well for the ZETEC Ford Focus.
This manifold has also already gone 13.8 @ 107mph in the 1/4mile on a STOCK ZETEC!
As with all of our manifolds, this includes a lifetime warranty against cracking!
We are accepting orders at this time. For more information please vist our products page. As with both of our manifolds, SVT’s must use the regular ZETEC dipstick and tube to allow for clearance, which we have available for purchase. Also, minimal clearancing of aluminum oil windage tray required with certain turbo models and stock fans.

Chevy Camaro stars in new Transformers 2.

This Wednesday, June 24, 2009, marks a whole new chapter in the Transformers saga and again the all-new 2010 Chevy Camaro is one of the main characters. Make sure you go check the movie out, that way your not the one standing there with the dumbfounded look when all of your coworkers are talking about the sweet Camaro they saw last night at the theaters.

Top Speed built Ford Focus

The first time we dynoed this 2003 Ford Focus ZX3, it made a mediocre 114whp. After months of planning and design work, fabrication finally began on a custom turbo setup. The car has been running well for almost a year now with virtually no problems. It is daily driven by the owner, and goes to the drag strip on an almost regular basis. We are really exicted about how the car has preformed thus far, and are currently in the process of building a new engine so we can really see how good this Focus can do.
