National Speed limit: Right or Wrong?
Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

In the United States rising gas prices are once again having a tightening effect on the wallets of Americans. Will it ever end? There have been talks in the past of imposing a National Speed limits on government highways in order to conserve fossil fuels, most of which is imported from other countries. With that being said, will a National Speed limit really save us that much money in the long run? In 1974 Richard Nixon imposed a 55mph National Speed limit in order to decrease oil consumption as well as the amount of oil imported to the United States.

Koenigsegg strikes deal to buy Saab.
Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

Saab's Logo
Swedish sports car maker Koenigsegg has struck a deal with General Motors to purchase failing car maker Saab. There have been unconfirmed reports of GM trying to sell Saab for the last 4 years, so this new announcement comes as no suprise.
Koenigsegg was founded in 1994 by sports car enthusiast Christian von Koenigsegg. They have been building approximately a dozen high-end sports cars every year which are believed to cost between $1-2million each. Koenigsegg has stated that they would like to update Saab’s line and their technology which will allow it to be a successful car maker in the future. Hopefully under Koenigsegg’s management Saab will become profitable once again.

US Airforce builds Pony Cars?
Friday, June 12th, 2009
The US Air force has teamed up with Galpin Auto Sports (GAS) to build two custom cars to be used for recruiting efforts. GAS is known for the radical rides that they have built for the hit TV show Pimp-My-Ride, and these two pony cars built are as radical as ever. The interiors of both look like they belong in a fighter jet. The Mustang even has an ejector seat! The cars look great, and obviously shows the talents of the shop that did all of the work, however I am not sure as to how many soldiers will enlist because of these two cars.
